Halal Nikah Catering in Mississauga

Authentic halal nikah catering delivered to Mississauga, from $20 per person.

Start with the masjid's rules

Many Mississauga nikahs happen in a masjid hall, and every masjid sets its own rules on outside food, timings and cleanup. Check those before you book anything, caterer included. A ten-minute call to the masjid office can save a lot of stress on the day.

Questions to ask the masjid office

  • Is outside catering allowed in the hall, and do they need proof the food is halal? Our meat is HMA-certified halal, and we can share documentation on request.
  • What time can you get into the hall, and when must it be empty?
  • Can you use the hall kitchen, or only the main room?
  • Are chafing dish fuels allowed, or only electric warmers?
  • Are tables and chairs provided, or do you need to rent them?
  • Who handles garbage and cleanup, and is there a deposit?
  • Are men and women seated in separate halls?

Fitting a 50 km drive into a fixed hall window

Mississauga is about 50 km from Passmore Avenue, usually 45 to 55 minutes along the 401. When a masjid gives you, say, a three-hour slot, the food cannot arrive before the doors open or after the guests start leaving. Send us the exact access time and the time the ceremony starts, and we will plan the drive from Scarborough around that window. Have someone at the door when the hall opens, ready to take delivery.

Timing the meal around prayer

A nikah at a masjid usually fits between the daily prayers. Some families hold it after Jumu'ah on a Friday; others choose the gap between Asr and Maghrib. Those prayer times shift through the year, much earlier in winter and later in summer, so check the masjid's timetable for your actual date, not the date you first planned. Then work out when people will be ready to eat. If Maghrib falls in the middle of your meal, set food out after the prayer rather than before, so trays are not left open while the hall empties.

What to bring that we won't

We are a drop-off and pickup caterer. There are no servers and no on-site staff, so your family brings:

  1. Chafing dishes and fuel, or electric warmers if fuel is not allowed.
  2. Serving spoons, at least one per tray.
  3. Plates, cutlery, cups and plenty of napkins.
  4. Tablecloths for the buffet table.
  5. Heavy garbage bags and foil for leftovers.
  6. Containers so leftovers can go home, chilled within two hours.

Budgets for a hall nikah in Mississauga

Each combo is priced per person with a 20-person minimum. Totals are before tax and delivery.

  • 50 guests, Mutton Biryani Combo at $29: 50 x $29 = $1,450. Mutton biryani, chicken chukka, eggplant moju, maasi sambol, pineapple curry, yogurt sambal, acharu and kithul watalappan.
  • 100 guests, Chicken Biryani Combo 1 at $20: 100 x $20 = $2,000. Chicken biryani, eggplant moju, egg masala and acharu. Four items, simple to set out on a long hall table, and the most affordable chicken combo. It contains eggs and no dessert.

If some guests keep vegetarian, ask us about mixing combos if you want a share of the order as the $15 Vegetable Biryani Combo.

Keeping a hall table moving

With a hundred people, set the buffet so both sides of the table can serve at once. Put rice in two spots rather than one. The line halves, and the food is eaten closer to when it was opened. Put dessert on a separate small table near the exit, so people pick it up on the way out instead of crowding the main buffet.

For menu ideas, read what to serve at a nikah or walima. When the masjid confirms your slot, call or text (647) 449-2924.

Yes. Our chicken, beef and lamb are HMA-certified halal, and documentation is available on request.

What is the most affordable combo for a large masjid nikah?

The Vegetable Biryani Combo is $15 per person, and Chicken Biryani Combo 1 is $20 per person. Both have a 20-person minimum.

Do you set up the buffet in the masjid hall?

No. We do drop-off or pickup only. Food arrives packed and ready to serve, and your family sets up and serves.
