Blessed Kitchen is a family-run Sri Lankan kitchen in Scarborough, and catering is a big part of what we do. Every piece of meat we cook is HMA-certified halal, and everything is made from scratch in our own kitchen on Passmore Avenue.

How the pricing works

Our catering combos are quotes each event based on menu and headcount, with a 20 person minimum. Each combo is a full spread, not just a tray of rice.

• Vegetable Biryani Combo, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount). Vegetable biryani, eggplant moju, pineapple curry, acharu and yogurt sambal.
• Chicken Biryani Combo 1, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount). Chicken biryani, eggplant moju, egg masala and acharu.
• Chicken Biryani Combo 2, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount). Adds deep-fried chicken, pineapple curry, maasi sambal, green pea cashew curry and custard.
• Beef Biryani Combo, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount). Beef biryani with whole deep-fried chicken and six sides plus dessert.
• Mutton Biryani Combo and String Hopper Biryani Combo, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount). Two Sri Lankan spreads you will not find on many catering menus.
• Ghee rice combos, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount). Up to 10 dishes on one plate, from beef kuruma and fried whole chicken to Bengal masala T-bone and tiger shrimp devil, finished with kithul watalappan.

How many people does it feed?

Because the combos are quotes each event based on menu and headcount, you order for your headcount and we portion to match. As a rule, order for the number of guests you expect, plus a few extra if people tend to take food home. If your crowd skews younger or it is a long event, tell us and we will adjust.

How it works

1. Tell us the basics. Date, headcount, pickup or delivery, and which combo or dishes you want.
2. We confirm the menu and quote. Usually the same day.
3. We cook it fresh for your time and pack it ready to serve.
4. You pick it up or we deliver it within our range. We do not staff events on site, so plan your own serving setup.

Give us as much notice as you can, especially around Eid and wedding season, when weekends fill up first.
