Halal Sri Lankan & Indian Catering in Burlington
Authentic halal Sri Lankan and Indian catering delivered to Burlington and the GTA, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount).
Burlington events we take on
Burlington is at the far western edge of the area we cater, around 75 km from our kitchen in north Scarborough. Depending on traffic, the run takes 60 to 75 minutes, usually across the 401 and then down the 403 or the 407 toward Halton Region. Because of that distance, we take Burlington orders for larger events that are booked early, such as a banquet hall wedding reception, an engagement dinner, a company gathering or a big community celebration.
If your Burlington event is small, delivery is unlikely to be the right fit, and weekend pickup in Scarborough is the realistic choice.
Head to head for 200 guests: two menus, two budgets
Most large Burlington bookings come down to one question: keep it simple and affordable, or go for a fuller spread. Here are two real options from our menu at 200 guests.
Option A: Chicken Biryani Combo 1
200 guests at roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount) is confirmed in your event quote. Each guest gets chicken biryani, eggplant mojo, egg masala and acharu. It is a focused plate built around one strong main dish. It suits a crowd that is there for a program, speeches or a long evening, where the meal is part of the event rather than the whole event.
Option B: Samba Ghee Rice Combo
200 guests at roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount) is confirmed in your event quote. The plate becomes samba ghee rice, roast beef devil, whole chicken korma, eggplant milk curry, maasi sambal, acharu, pineapple curry and ktull wattalapam for dessert. This is the fuller spread, with two meats, several sides and a traditional sweet.
What the $1,600 difference buys
Option B adds a second meat, a beef dish, a creamy eggplant curry, a sweet pineapple curry and dessert. If many guests do not eat beef, Option A avoids the question entirely. quotes each event based on menu and headcount with a 20-person minimum, so ask us about mixing combos if you want part of the hall on each.
Allergen notes for your guest cards: egg masala and wattalapam contain eggs, and maasi sambal contains dried Maldives fish.
Getting the order into a Halton banquet hall
For a crowd of 200, the drop-off itself needs planning. Before the day, ask your venue:
- Which door and loading area the driver should use, and whether a cart or trolley is available.
- Whether the hall kitchen can be used for holding trays and plating, or only the dining room.
- Who on the venue staff will meet the delivery, and their direct number.
- Whether chafing dishes and fuel are part of your hall package.
We deliver packed and ready to serve. We do not run on-site cooking or send servers, so either the venue staff or your own team will serve. Make sure whoever does it knows which tray holds which dish before the doors open.
Lead time for a 75 km delivery
A booking rhythm that works for most Burlington events:
- Lock in the hall and the date.
- Call us for a quote with a rough headcount and the combo you are leaning toward.
- Settle the menu and confirm the delivery address and loading details.
- Send the final headcount in the last week before the event.
- Share the name and number of whoever will receive the food on the day.
Book as early as you can once your date and hall are confirmed. Plan for the food to arrive well ahead of the meal, with chafing dishes lit and the serving table cleared, and keep lids on until the line forms. After service, refrigerate leftovers within two hours.
Our chicken, beef and lamb is HMA-certified halal, and we can share documentation on request if your venue or guests ask. Call or text (647) 449-2924 to start a quote. For wedding planning across the region, see wedding catering costs in Toronto and our ghee rice.
