Corporate Halal Catering in Richmond Hill — Reliable & Authentic

Halal corporate and office catering delivered to Richmond Hill, roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount).

Hosting clients, partners or a visiting team

A lot of Richmond Hill offices around Highway 7, Leslie and the 404 corridor host visitors: a client workshop, a partner meeting, a regional team flown in for two days. Lunch at those meetings does a different job. It has to look generous, suit people who may never have eaten Sri Lankan food, and avoid anything that puts a guest on the spot.

Our kitchen is at 328 Passmore Avenue in north Scarborough, about 22 km away, around a 25 minute drive. Close enough to time the drop-off for the break in your agenda.

A guest-friendly menu for 24

For a client-facing lunch, Chicken Biryani Combo 2 at roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount) gives a full, varied table. final pricing depends on your menu and headcount before tax and delivery. quotes each event based on menu and headcount with a 20-person minimum, so a group of 24 is fine. Here is how its dishes read to a first-timer:

  • Chicken biryani: spiced rice with chicken, the anchor of the plate.
  • Deep-fried chicken: familiar to everyone, and the safe choice for a cautious guest.
  • Pineapple curry: sweet with gentle heat.
  • Eggplant mojo: caramelized, sweet, sour and spicy.
  • Green-pea cashew curry: creamy and mild, but contains cashews.
  • Maasi sambal: salty, spicy and crunchy, made with dried Maldives fish. Use a little.
  • Acharu: tangy pickle, a spoonful on the side.
  • Custard dessert to finish.

A heat map for a mixed table

First-timers usually want to know which dishes are hot. A rough guide, mildest first:

  1. Potato milk curry and green-pea cashew curry: gentle and coconut-based.
  2. Pineapple curry and mango curry: sweet first, then a little warmth.
  3. Biryani: aromatic rather than fiery.
  4. Eggplant mojo and acharu: tangy with a kick.
  5. Devil dishes, chilli chicken and maasi sambal: the hottest end of the menu.

If many of your guests are new to spice, steer the order toward the top of that list and keep the sambal in a small bowl rather than on every plate.

Label the buffet before guests arrive

At a meeting with outside guests, small printed cards save a lot of awkward questions. For each dish list the name, whether it has meat, and the main allergens. On our menu the ones to flag are eggs (egg masala, kottu roti, vattalappam), cashews (green-pea cashew curry), dried fish (maasi sambal) and dairy (yogurt sambal, mango lassi). Add one line at the end of the table: all meat is HMA-certified halal. If a guest asks about HMA-certified or certification details, our HMA-certified halal catering page explains it, and documentation is available on request.

For a two-day visit

When a visiting team is in town for two days, avoid serving the same lunch twice. Day one could be the chicken combo above. Day two could switch to something different, such as the Vegetable Biryani Combo at roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount) for a lighter afternoon, or a ghee rice combo for the closing lunch. Ghee Rice Combo 4 (8 dishes) at roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount), with whole chicken korma, Bengal masala beef, kaliya, pineapple curry, acharu, capsicum and ktull wattalapam, gives the visit a proper send-off. For 24 people that is final pricing depends on your menu and headcount before tax and delivery.

Making the room look ready

We do drop-off only, with no servers, so presentation is in your hands. Book the delivery 20 to 30 minutes before the agenda break, move the food into chafing dishes or serving platters, and clear the delivery packaging from the meeting room before guests walk in. Put plates at the start of the line and desserts at the far end. For more on choosing dishes that work at work events, see the best food to serve at a corporate event.
