If you've been typing "String Hoppers near me" into your search bar, your delicious journey ends here at Blessed Kitchen! We bring the authentic taste of Sri Lanka right to your table in Scarborough and Markham.

If you are searching for string hoppers near you in the GTA, they are hard to find done fresh, because they have to be pressed and steamed the same day. We make ours by hand on weekends at our Scarborough kitchen. String hoppers, or idiyappam, are small nests of steamed rice-flour noodles, light and slightly chewy, made to be eaten with curry.

How to eat them

Pull a nest apart and eat it with kiri hodi (a mild coconut gravy), dhal, a fish or chicken curry, and coconut sambol. It is a classic Sri Lankan breakfast but works for any meal.

Fresh, weekends only

Because they are best the day they are made, string hoppers are a Saturday and Sunday item. Pickup from Scarborough or Uber Eats delivery in range. Zabihah halal.

How to get it

String hoppers come with your choice of curry and sambol. We are a weekend kitchen, so pickup is from our Scarborough location on Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 5. If you are inside our Uber Eats delivery range, we can also drop it at your door.
