  • Watalappan — Sri Lankan coconut-jaggery custard.

Indian dishes and fully vegetarian spreads are available too — everything 100% halal.

How it works

Catering is roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount) with a 20-guest minimum, delivered across the GTA. Share your date and headcount and we'll confirm the menu and send a quote the same day.

Is it near you?

We cook at 328 Passmore Ave in north Scarborough. Scarborough, Markham, North York and Pickering are 15 to 25 minutes away. Ajax, Richmond Hill, Whitby and Vaughan are 25 to 40. Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke and Oakville are 45 minutes or more, and work best for larger orders booked ahead. Pickup is always an option.

Events we cater

Weddings and walimas (including 1,000+ guests), nikahs, Eid, iftars, aqiqahs, birthdays, graduations, baby showers, office lunches and funeral receptions. Ask about our catering trays for 5 to 30 people (small feeds 5 to 8, medium 10 to 15, large 20 to 30).

Allergy notes

Some of our dishes contain egg (kottu, egg masala, watalappan), dairy (yogurt sambal), fish (maasi sambal is made with dried Maldives fish) and nuts (green pea cashew curry). If anyone has an allergy, tell us when you order and we will tell you what to avoid.

Questions to ask any halal caterer

Before you book anyone, these questions save trouble on the day. Here is how we answer them.

  1. Who certifies your meat, and can I see it? Our chicken, beef and lamb are HMA-certified halal, and we can share the documentation on request.
  2. Does the food arrive hot and ready, or does it need cooking on site? Ours is cooked fresh and arrives packed and ready to serve.
  3. Who sets up and serves? You do. We are drop-off or pickup only, with no servers or on-site cooking, so plan a few helpers or ask your venue.
  4. What is the minimum? Our combos are quotes each event based on menu and headcount with a 20 person minimum. Smaller groups can ask about trays.
  5. What allergens are in the menu? Ask about every dish. Ours include egg, dairy, dried fish and cashews in some items.
  6. What time will the food arrive? Agree on a delivery window, not just a date.

Picking a menu by the kind of event

  • Birthday or graduation party: Chicken Biryani Combo 2 (roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount)). Fried chicken goes first with kids and teenagers.
  • Office lunch: Chicken Biryani Combo 1 (roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount)) plus a Vegetable Biryani Combo (roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount)) for vegetarians.
  • Funeral reception: simple food that holds, such as biryani and vegetable combos.
  • Aqiqah or nikah: Mutton Biryani Combo (roughly $20 to $30 per person (quoted on menu and headcount)) for a more traditional table.
  • Large wedding or walima: a ghee rice combo for a feast-style spread.
