An Eid open house in Mississauga runs on its own clock
A lot of Eid hosting in Mississauga is not one sit-down meal. The door opens after Eid prayer, relatives arrive from Brampton, Milton and other parts of Peel, and people drift in and out until evening. That changes how you should order. You are not feeding 120 people at one o'clock. You are feeding waves of twenty or thirty at a time, and some of them have already eaten at two other houses that morning.
Ordering for waves instead of one sitting
- Count everyone you expect across the whole day, then tell us roughly how many will only stop for tea and sweets. We can talk through the numbers with you.
- Keep one tray of each dish open at a time and leave the rest covered until the first is nearly empty. Covered trays hold up far better than open ones sitting under the lights for hours.
- Put the biryani and the fried chicken at the start of the table, since those go first. Sambols and pickles can sit at the far end, because people take only a spoonful.
- Keep a spare set of serving spoons. Over a long afternoon spoons migrate between dishes, and a guest who avoids fish should not find maasi sambol mixed into the chicken.
The drive from Passmore Avenue to Mississauga
Mississauga is about 50 km from our kitchen in north Scarborough, roughly 45 to 55 minutes along the 401 in normal traffic. On Eid morning the roads near masjids and prayer grounds get crowded right across the GTA, so we plan Mississauga drop-offs with that in mind. Two things help us most: a delivery window (for example, between 12:30 and 1:30) rather than an exact minute, and the number of someone who will actually be at the house, not the cousin who is still standing in the prayer line.
Why Mississauga orders should come in early
Eid is our busiest stretch of the year, and long-distance slots fill before short ones because each one takes a vehicle away for well over an hour round trip. The exact date also depends on the moon sighting, so many families wait to confirm. Our advice: book the likely day as soon as you have a rough headcount, and tell us straight away if it moves by a day. That conversation is much easier two weeks out than two days out.
Two Mississauga Eid budgets, worked out
quotes each event based on menu and headcount with a 20-person minimum. The totals below are before tax and delivery.
- 50 guests on Chicken Biryani Combo 2 at quoted for your event: final pricing depends on your menu and headcount. That covers chicken biryani, deep-fried chicken, green-pea cashew curry, pineapple curry, eggplant moju, acharu, maasi sambol and a custard dessert. It suits a family lunch where most people sit down to a full plate.
- 120 guests on the Beef Biryani Combo at quoted for your event: final pricing depends on your menu and headcount. Beef biryani with whole deep-fried chicken, plus green-pea cashew curry, eggplant moju, pineapple curry, maasi sambol, acharu and custard. Good for a larger open house where you want both beef and chicken out.
If part of that crowd does not eat beef, ask us about mixing combos rather than guessing at it.
Sort these out before Eid morning
- Clear a table or counter long enough to hold every tray side by side, close to an outlet if you plan to use electric warmers.
- Buy or borrow chafing dishes and fuel. Our catering is drop-off or pickup only, with no servers, so setup and serving are in your hands.
- Pick one person to receive the delivery, check it against the quote, and move the trays straight onto the warmers.
- Label the two dishes with common allergens: the green-pea cashew curry contains cashews, and maasi sambol is made with dried Maldives fish.
- Put leftovers in the fridge within two hours of the food coming off the heat, and pack a few containers for relatives who could not make it.

We plan Mississauga Eid drop-offs around a drive of about 45 to 55 minutes. Book early, give us a window rather than a single time, and we will tell you which slot we can hold.

No. Our catering is drop-off or pickup only. Food arrives packed and ready to serve, and your family handles the setup and serving.
What happens if the moon sighting moves Eid by a day?
Tell us the moment you know. Book your best guess early, then let us confirm whether the new day works for a Mississauga delivery.
